Dr Khalid Koser is founding Executive Director of the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, a global fund dedicated to preventing violent extremism. In its first six years, GCERF has raised over 100m USD and reached over two million people in communities at risk.
An academic by training, Khalid is Professor of Conflict, Peace and Security at the University of Maastricht. Khalid is a global advocate for refugees, and has been appointed MBE for services to asylum seekers and refugees. He chairs the Board of Trustees for the youth development charity Raleigh International.
