Hamsatu Allamin is the Founder & ED of Allamin Foundation for Peace and Development is an educator, freelance writer, gender activist, human rights defender, and Peace Maker, She is creator of Network of CSOs for Peace, and the WPS Network as Voice of the Voiceless, as well as Social Networks of Victims of Disappearances and Survivors of Boko Haram Abductions among others. She is member of the Women Alliance for Security Leadership (WASL  the Federation of Muslim Women Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN); Member, Independent Review Panel of the GCERF, 2019 Nominee of the Nigeria National Human Rights Award, the 2016 International Woman Peace Maker of the Kroc IPJ, USD, USA and 2018 Laureate of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) for Contribution to Sustainable peace, member of AU network of Women Mediators FemWise and of the Experts/Practitioners of P//CVE in the Sahel.  She is an advocate of alternative approaches to end the Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria.
