Erkina Urazbaeva is a Team Leader of the Governance/Peacebuilding Cluster in UNDP Kyrgyzstan with more than 13 years of experience within the organization. She is a valuable expert in strengthening national institutions and local capacities to promote good governance, rule of law, sustain peace, and prevent violent extremism.
Erkina also has experience in finance and business development. Prior to joining UNDP, from 1998 to 2000 she worked in the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic as Senior Specialist of the Balance of Payments Department and in private sector as marketing specialist in Warsaw, Poland (2001-2005). Erkina holds Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Kyrgyz State National University and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Warsaw University of Technology Business School.
