Ms. Yespenova is co-founder and Executive Director of the non-governmental organisation (NGO) “Kameda”, a leading NGO in Kazakhstan that focuses on social and community development issues. Ms. Yespenova has extensive work experience in leading social projects and youth initiatives.
She acted as a responsible partner within the Strengthening Community Resilience and Regional Cooperation for Prevention of Violent Extremism in Central Asia project (Kazakhstan component) funded by the Government of Japan to provide support in launching a three-month subsidized apprenticeship scheme in public institutions, private businesses and NGOs. The programme was supplemented with weekly accompanying soft skills, professional and gender mainstreamed trainings, psychological and mentorship support for vulnerable young people being at-risk of radicalization. The apprenticeship helped vulnerable youth to become skilled workers and acquire professional knowledge and skills for subsequent employment.
