Anneliese is a media trainer and development consultant with global experience spanning Asia, Europe and the Middle East. With a focus on journalist training and capacity building in the media sector, Anneliese has designed and run training courses for journalists, media practitioners and organisations such as BBC Media Action, DW Akademie and UNESCO. She is currently working on boosting the professional capacity of media in the Maldives and is working on projects with both the UK FCDO and UNDP.
Anneliese has an extensive background in international journalism and continues to contribute to high level publications. She has worked for the BBC, the Associated Press, ABC Australia, UK Channel 4 and Al Jazeera, including holding Bureau Chief roles in Asia and the Middle East.
Anneliese has a BA (Hons) from the Australian National University and an MSc from the University of London, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
