Dr. Simon Nyambura is the Director of the IGAD Center of Excellence for Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (ICEPCVE) in Djibouti. Prior to that, he was the Head of Counter Terrorism Pillar at IGAD SSP in Addis Ababa.
Dr. Nyambura has over 18 years extensive professional experience and knowledge in designing and implementing counter terrorism and counter violent extremism strategies and programs in the Horn and Eastern Africa. He has also been a lecturer at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He holds a PhD in International Security from Kansa State University.
